It's Sunday and I am waiting for my Sunday newspaper. If paper guy will not come today once again I go and buy it my self from news stand.
What else can I do ?
Were you wondering I will whack him, or something?
Actually this is happening from last 4 Sundays. He is missing our house. Or not coming at all.
So, I will just not pay for July subscription, ta da!!!!!
My neighbors don't read it, so they it does not bother them. Totally useless to ask around. The contact card he gave me has been lost somewhere. My bad. How could it occurred to me one day I will have to run up against that he will be missing like that. So yeah, I did not cared for contact card.
You will say, why don't I read it online. Newspaper are old fashioned.
I ain't old fashioned, OK.
I do read newspapers online, when ever I get time, however I still like to crack open Sunday newspaper with cuppa tea, and halwa pauri as my breakfast. It's magazine too. However these days I am spreading quite thin. Right now I ma typing this with my towel wrapped around my head.
Lost of news and articles to be caught up. I subscribed Express Turbine which has so many nice articles from local writers as well as international writers. In Urdu language I read Daily Jang, and Daily express.
Do you sit down, and read newspaper to catch up on all the latest local, and international news, or prefer to go another route of online browsing ?
Have a good Sunday.
I even read magazines on my iPad...so no, no newspapers. But I respect people who love them. Have a lovely day!

Sunday Newspaper Mornings <3
ReplyDeleteI love reading Book & Authors and Images that come with Dawn on Sundays :)
I actually prefer reading newspaper or if it's too late it in the morning because I rush off to work, I watch it on tv...
ReplyDeleteDefinitely not old fashioned LOL! I also read news online when I have time ;)
I enjoy sunday morning papers as long as I can catch a break to sit down and read.
ReplyDeleteReading newspaper every single day has been a part of my routine for many years. For me, reading newspaper is as important as having breakfast. I don't care if it's old fashioned or whatever. I just enjoy reading. I prefer print media over electronic one when it comes to reading news.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Sunday Izdiher! I suppose you already had your halwa pauri. :D
I'm more someone that reads online news :)
ReplyDeleteBeing updated with the latest news is certainly good. It is a good hing that there's a person like you who is fond of current events... Trying to be a journalist someday :P
ReplyDeleteI like opening a newspaper too. I guess it is a bit like a Kindle and a book, I love the convenience of the Kindle, but holding a good book in your hands is just magic!
ReplyDeleteI love newspapers and the Sunday magazine that comes with them :-)
ReplyDeleteI love to have a cup of coffee and read the Sunday paper, Izdiher, especially outside sitting at a cafe'!
ReplyDeleteI admit to reading a lot of news on-line, but the real newspaper has a special charm, doesn't it.
real ones are still better than online no matter how easy access and convenient online stuff are. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't remember the last time I sat down and read a newspaper. I get my news online. I like to think I'm saving trees by not wasting paper but I worry about what happens when all of these computers hit the landfill one day. Have a great Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI hardly ever read sunday papers..
ReplyDeleteLove your sweet blog..
ReplyDeleteI am following you :)
I would love you following me back :D
XoXo

ReplyDeleteOur newspaper guys usually never miss the house. When we still had a paper we only missed one day of every year. Then we could call the newspaper and they'd come back and fix it.
ReplyDeleteWeird that your paper is gone... Ours never misses a day! (unless it's snowing like crazy but that's another story :p) But then we get another day for free

I still love the feel of an actual newspaper, and for that matter, book. I will never get totally used to the e-versions~
ReplyDeleteDear friend,
ReplyDeleteSunday newspaper brought back some memories. With the new tech now, I personally don't see the need to have one. I admire that you do. Thanks for sharing.
I still like to read the newspaper every now and then. Mostly the Sunday's news paper because it's filled with so much more than the daily one.. I enjoy a cup of coffee with it.. Mmmmm! French vanilla!! It's the best!
ReplyDeleteThe funny pages/comics are the best reasons to have an actual newspaper. A hard copy is also best for clipping pics like 'friends & neighbours' and, sadly, the occasional obituary. Those types of things don't seem right when coming from my PC printer. Plus, paper is a lot easier to read when sitting in the restroom at work!
ReplyDeleteNone the less, I usually catch up with the news online but strictly because of the convenience. But, if I know there's news published in the paper and I want to clip it, I buy the paper version!
Did i ever tell you that I used to deliver papers? Yup, I did. Those papers sure could get heavy when you are 10 years old.
DeleteI wish I had a paper delivered daily, although I do have some magazines to read
ReplyDeleteI read online news and magazine but I still need my Saturday newspaper and monthly magazine (for selected ones)... :))
ReplyDeleteXOXO!
Sunday newspaper is a must. We siblings literally fight over who gets to read it first, since we are four of us.. :P
ReplyDeleteI don't get the paper anymore. xo
ReplyDeleteC'est beauuuuu
ReplyDeletesorry i was not able to go through your posts for the last 1 month..
ReplyDeleteanyways newspapers are must...they keep us in touch with the world :)
i love reading the news paper becuz i hate technology !
ReplyDeleteI do read the French newspaper online because you can't get it everywhere in Ireland. But I like the paper version better! I can sit down with a tea, biscuits and the paper and enjoy a nice time. At the end of the day, My only dream is "no computer"!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the Sunday newspaper. Reading online is definitely not the same. :)
ReplyDeleteWell in England i used to order The Observer which is the Sunday supplement to The Guardian which is England most respected and objective investigative newspaper. But this thing was like a tank, it had so many magazines in it, from cooking to fashion to furniture they really chopped down the forest for this paper. And the paper boy would always rip it to shreds pushing it in through the letter box, i may as well have got a hostile dog to do the job for the boy. Now i read mainly online, because i can source different angles on a story and decide for myself how to filter the information. Even newspapers that are as objective (and do not cover celebrity stories like the tabloids) as The Guardian are subject to editors and government.
