Is this for real?

The most difficult thing to watch on television is BigBoss Indian version. This season 14, is the first proper season I have ever watched. Blamed the lockdown.

This year, we have locked up in our own houses since March. I can understand the dilemma. However, if it is scripted then this is the worst type of content in the name of entertainment.  I started by watching undekha and unseen on YouTube. Those clips are totally different from the show on TV.  In the show, you will find people loud, crazy and fighting over unnecessary things. One needs lots of stamina for this.

All I need to know few things:

Is this show for real?

How can normal humans watch it?

I am in pain after watching for  two weeks.

Are humans really that crazy when they are into each others faces, in such closed proximity?

I have never seen any human insulting another human at this length on national television. We all confront, fight and get abusive too. However, getting personal with each other in the show is so cringe. There is constant targeting few, useless fights and name  calling. If, someone is not into all these things, and like to speak in his/her own way, makers induce the fight by sending  messages through the guests or on weekend ka war episode. Task are made to do so as well. Physical fights are not allowed. All this is done in the name of "showing true personality."

Those who get eliminated soon are the ones who could not show themselves ( read: being abusive to others in the house). For the sake of being in the show and make makers and producers happy, contestants do their best to show their personalities.

To me this is stooping so low. Makers have this notion that audience enjoy such extreme level verbal fights, bickering on daily bases. All this is way too demeaning and painful to watch as a audience. And god forbid, if this is not scripted then what these contestants go through psychological abuse for money and fame is unhealthy for them.

Will the meet each other after the show?

This show is not my cup of tea. I am the person whose strategy is to run away from the people and issues. And this show is about being in the face 24/7. This is supposed to be a mad house where people are locked up to fight in the name of entertainment, as much as I have understood.

Then comes its Weekend Ka War, which is been hosted by the Salman Khan. This is his tenth year in Big Boss as a host. He is an other character. From a goofy and carefree guy in his 20s to 40s, to full of grudge against life in his 50s. The child like man acts he does are so sad. His obsession with any cute female contestant, who by chance has any resemblance with Katrina Kaif is another level of sad thing to watch. She will become his favorite and the forced flirt will be there throughout the session. In BigBoss 14, the favorite is Jasmin. I have no idea from which angle she looks like Katrina Kaif.

I can only piety him.

(Thank God, Ashwaria Rai got married.)

Another thing is noticed is that he literally takes revenges. In this season, one contestant Rubia called him out for calling her husband, Abhinav who is also a contestant, "saman" (stuff) in early weeks. He did it as a joke, of course. We all know his sense of humor. Rubina misunderstood it and took it seriously, though. Since that incident, he has been targeting this married couple by never missing a chance to pass taunts or degrade them  in every weekend ka war episode. All is so obvious. Hats off to Abhinav for handling this.

He should get married and have kids as soon as possible or get help professionally. I am telling you, this is not mere anger issue.
