Leave Big Bird alone and cancel Mitt Romney.
You should look up the Conan O'Brien spoof on Big Bird and Romney, so funny.
He's an idiot to think that cancelling funding for Big Bird and friends will get him any votes.
I don't know about it! :(
lolololololololol..... wow didnt know bout that!
politicians are the same the world over.................
I laughed so hard :D
Ah welcome to the complexities of a mixed economy! Everybody outside usually just assumes that the US is a 100% capitalist country, i.e.: You want it, you pay for it. What anybody whose taken Econ 101 knows is that its actually a mixed economy, and that in a mixed economy we use Government subsidies to pay for things we deem to be in the public benefit. Which starts the tired old argument up, who decided whats beneficial? What if I don't use it? What if I don't agree? Why should I have to pay for it? Why don't those who want it support it? This comes up every now and then (meaning about 100 times a day) on topics ranging from school funding, Tax exempt status for religious organizations, corporate tax breaks, public broadcasting, alternative energy, farming, gas and oil etc...you name it. I hate to say it, but the average American has absolutely NO realistic idea where their tax dollars go. Usually they pay attention long enough to get angry and complain to their friends, or whine on the internet and then sit back down. The fact that Romney had the guts or the lack of brains to attack PBS publicly, and remind US voters that the president and his party can actually effect the country's direction...at this stage in the election...wow.
That's a scary thought, how could Romney even consider cancelling PBS and shows like Sesame Street, Big Bird and friends are loved by children all over the world.xoxoxo ♡
