Love never hurts.

“Everyone says that love hurts, but that's not true. Loneliness hurts. Rejection hurts. Everyone confuse these things with love, but in reality, love is the only thing in this world that covers up all the pain and makes us feel wonderful again.”

  7. life without love is painting without colours.
But love does have side effects especiaaly when there is a betrayal.

  8. Well said! I couldn't agree more. It is not love but selfishness, neglect and lack of commitment that really hurt!

  10. And "LOVE" does not necessarily mean to be doing all the time what rabbits are famous for doing (although I am sure they love that, also--grin!).

    God loves EVERYONE!
Am I to love only one?
No...I am free to spend the love I have,
so long as it is outgoing, and not self-serving.

I feel certain that on the other side of this life, we shall be inundated with love.
Everywhere, always, never boring, never saturating. (Do we call that "Poly-unsaturated?"--heheh)

  11. Oh my dearest Izdiher, how wise you are to differentiate that. It's so true - people always say love hurts but as you say it is not love but neglect, selfishness, self-centredness, a can't be bothered attitude - these are the things (or acts) that hurt us. Love cures.

  16. i think it's not love which hurts it's our expectations which makes us disappointed and then we human beings confuse emotions..love with disappointment...love ever heals the pain.

  17. But how often can we truly feel it, without the feeling being distorted by emotions such as loneliness and the fear of rejection?

  22. I agree, love never hurts. But it is the process of love that hurts. Just as up implies down and drunk implies sober, we cannot begin to appreciate the value of caring for someone until we understand the pain of not being cared for.

  26. Love is a very strange feeling. There are times when we need it and other times not. It can be very complicated at times.

  27. Great post. Currently in my life I'm content with not being in a relationship and just focusing on me, but I still express love to my friends and family. Without it I would crumble. I definitely agree that we should follow each other. <3

  30. Interesting Post. However I think sometimes love can hurt it for me. If I see someone I love so much and they are in pain of have died then I think that is when I would say Love hurts for me.

  31. We blame everything on love when something hurts...but love is the purest thing in the world. I think we have to relearn the words that we use ;)
