Eid Al-Adha '13.

Happy Eid Al -Adha , everyone.

I hope you all doing great and enjoying  the festival to the fullest :).

As we all know, Eid Al-Adha is all about sacrifice. Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him)  was commanded by God to sacrifice his adult son, Ismaeel. He was true submitter, true worshiper of God, who could not say no to this command. God loved his obedience, and at the time of sacrifice, he gave him a ram  in place of his son.

Muslims all around the world follow this sunnah (act) of prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and  offer up an  animal (goat, ram, sheep, and camel) on 10th of zil Hajj.

But, is this all about following a sunnah?

There is, of course some wisdom behind it. As a learner, am I figuring out.

Have you ever sacrifice anything in your life for someone you love so much ?

  1. Khair Mubarak to you as well! Well, its not only about sacrificing an animal in order to follow the sunnah. Its about reviving the fact that in order to fulfil God's will, a Muslim should sacrifice even his dearest thing. Moreover, it is to share the meat with the poor Muslims, the exploited and unprotected; thus creating perpetual harmony, love and brotherhood among the Muslims.

  2. I don't know of any parents who haven't sacrificed for their children. Sometimes this produces bad results but not most of the time.

  3. Eid mubarak dear! Hope you had a wonderful day.

  4. Eid Mubarak to you and family :)
